About PEDO
PEDO is a government organization working on extending alternate energy to remote areas covering villages, schools, mosques, and primary health units. One of the major projects was providing a solar solution to more than 8000 schools and BHUs spread geographically in KP province.
Challenges

- Non-visibility of the operational status of the solar sites and real-time monitoring
- Customer complaints management which was being done manually
Solutions
After a thorough understanding of the problems faced and business analysis, Joyn helped PEDO teams to digitally transform data collection, processing, and visualization through its GIS/IoT-based resource management system “Latitude”. Multiple applications were deployed for the field staff to collect data during the project implementation and operations stage, in addition to IoT devices installed on sites to capture real-time data for the system. Multiple dashboards (GIS, Tabular and Graphical) were extended for the management and operations team to facilitate real-time information access. The complaint management system helped PEDO to register, track and resolve customer complaints. The following modules were implemented:

Results
Project visibility through multiple dashboards on a real-time basis reduced not only the manual work but also improved project execution timelines. Contractors and vendor performance increased at the same time. Site-by-site details and documentation were available with a single click which improved the deployment and acceptance time. The complaint management system improved the availability of sites to 98% which was previously not monitored or available.
